The Married Couples Ministry is a place for you to fellowship with other couples in the church. This is a time to learn from Pastor & First Lady as well as other couples on how to put God at the center of your marriage, and a time to have fun and fellowship. The purpose of the performing arts ministry is to glorify God through dance and theatre. This ministry seeks to use our gifts as an expression of our gratitude for God’s love for mankind. This ministry performs throughout the year during services and if you want to get involved, please contact Maria Romain, Monica Chapman, or Vanessa Stokes. Guiding Scripture: “Praise ye the Lord. Praise God in his sanctuary: praise him in the firmament of his power. 2 Praise him for his mighty acts: praise him according to his excellent greatness.3 Praise him with the sound of the trumpet: praise him with the psaltery and harp. 4 Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.5 Praise him upon the loud cymbals: praise him upon the high sounding cymbals.6 Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord. Psalm 150:1-6.
The music ministry has the purpose to minister in song and command the atmosphere with worship in a manner that will allow the spirit of God to come in and speak and minister in the Sanctuary. They will assist the Pastor and will minister in song as directed for all services held at Nehemiah’s Temple. Motto: We will sing until the power of the Lord comes down!” Guiding Scripture: “And they ministered before the dwelling place of the tabernacle of the congregation with singing, until Solomon build the house of the Lord in Jerusalem: and (then) they waited on their office according to the order” 1 Chr 6:32
